We knew Abbey was special when she was
only a couple of weeks old. Her pattern is
particularly striking for a dilute calico,
especially with the cream in her blaze and her
copper eyes. At her first show at four months
of age, Blue Bayou Photography approached
us for permission to use photos of her on
their business site, stating that her pattern
was one of the most unique that they had
ever seen.
Abbey was named after our favorite monastic
library in the States. Mt. Angel Abbey library is
in Oregon where we lived for three years.
